Saw ouija last night! It was pg-13 so I didn't think it would be too scary. But I thought it was scarier than annabelle & the conjuring. Was very surprised it was wasn't r rated. I thought it was pretty damn good! I'm a fool for jump scares and this movie was good at it, but it had a good plot too.

I might have to take that back... I saw annabelle again tonight and it was almost scarier the second time lol

Watched Delivery Man last night and enjoyed it far more than I expected. Father to 534 kids, what a great premise, who the hell thinks of things like this? lol.

Defiantly makes you jump and for pg-13 it was awesome
Dude that's for sure! I am really surprised it was PG-13 though!! Some kids are gonna have nightmares.
I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a second one by the looks of that ending..

OK, saw Interstellar. First, it is 3 hours LONG. I knew it was that long, but man, that is a long time to sit in a movie theatre seat, lol. For the first 2.5 hours, I though the movie was great. Special effects were great, story was really good, etc. The last 30 minutes....... ehhh..... I don't know. I didn't like the ending anywhere near as much as the rest of the movie. Weird.

I watched Interstellar opening night. I'll watch it again in the theatre, too. I thought it was a fantastic movie. It had a great story that was constrained by the running time. The movie could have been a three-parter without problems. It is a movie that I will be able to watch again. I do not buy many movies any more, at all. But that one I will buy when it comes out.
Along those same lines, I've been on a McConaughey film binge lately. Some of it is really good, some not sot:
  • The Paperboy - set in the swamps in Louisiana, this movie is dark and disturbing in many ways.
  • Mud - Great kid/adored adult story.
  • Frailty - Awesome serial killer story with Bill Paxton.
  • Dallas Buyer's Club - great acting by Leto and McConaughey, but I didn't much care for the plot.
  • The Lincoln Lawyer - Good whodunit story, entertaining once.
  • Bernie - Jack Black in the main role, this movie shows small-town America in mundane detail. Great watch.
  • Reign of Fire - I thought it might be awesome because dragons, but no. It sucks.
  • U-571 - I had seen it before. Boring.
  • The Wolf of Wall Street - didn't like it.

Cloud atlas was boring confusing nonsense. Solaris was dull but thought provoking. Into the storm was just a step above sharknado. Malefecent was surprisingly good.

Anyone subscribe to the "Guilty Movie Pleasures" pod-cast on iTunes? I've been listening to that on my morning drive and it's not bad. Kind of sophomoric humor (my kind) from two guys that review older movies that I still stop and watch when they're on TV. I just listened to the review on Predator and Point Break the past two days. I have Rocky III, Commando and Road House cued up next.
