I think this falls under the heading of "just because" I think you are reading way to far into it and like it was stated many times before. The pole is not moved forward the nose is shortened.

depends on the ski. Some move the pole mount forward, some move the nose back, and some do both. I know you have to get longer tubes for the RRP handlepole to work with his hull.

I don't understand how that saying applies to this conversation.

Enlighten me as to what the difference is between moving the bracket forward or shorting the nose, as it relates to this situation. I see them as one in the same. My question is why is it done? I am thinking it was for the wrong reasons hence all my posts in this thread.
