Mozambique Vacation

So I've just got back from vacation in Mozambique (North East of South Africa) and before I left DJ suggested I post a few pics of riding in "Africa".

2nd day riding I landed strangely off of a little 2 footer and tore ligaments in my ankle and knee, very bleak! Spent the rest of my time there off of the ski, hobbling around and drinking too much beer. Worst part is a I missed 3 days of perfect, clean 4 footers...

It really is an awesome place and I'm already planning the next trip there.

Rode there in 98 maputu It think , the place was ravaged and had land mines all over the place , no food unless you brought it yourself
Paid the kids a few Rand a day to haul our skis in and out of the water and guard them. They worked there butts off than the cops took it from them at gunpoint

but it was the clearest watar I ever saw and a great surf break

10 years certainly does make a difference, they're doing well these days.

The truck is a Ford Ranger, double cab 4x4, made in South Africa. The big US made trucks are scarce here...

there's a guy here in our local harbor who has a 550 on davits. its a cool setup but it would be tough to figure out how to have more than one ski
