msd edhandcer with stock sj ? please

okay so i got the enhancer off here and the wires are not the same color as what the factory wire color is. is this and issue with all of them. plus i dont have any instructions. if u read toward the bottom i describe what happend when i put it in. thanks for your help

with a stock boat i doubt wou'll hit the rev limit unless something goes wrong real bad. i don't think you will have to make any adjustments to anything when yu run that thing

The rev limit should be at least 8000 RPM I'd say (So there's no chance of bumping into it, even with engine/exhaust mods.). However, without a tach that's hard to judge. So just crank it all the way up and let your finger be your rev limiter.
No rejetting required.

You don't need to change the carb tuning for the MSD. There was another thread on here about stock settings a couple of days ago - you might be able ti find it by searching. I'd wind the rev limiter wide open on the MSD. I'm not sure if the stock motor will rev out that far with the stock pipe, but it certainly won't do any harm. Yamahas are pretty tough when they're stock

good thats what im looking for. i was looking but everyone has mods who are asking jetting ?s. pulled my carbs to clean them out and want to make sure they are at the right settings? anyone know off hand what stock settings are.

hey okay i put it in but some of the wire were not the same colors as factory but i think i figured it out but i went to start is and it wont start. took plugs out and only gets spark when i let off of the start button. then i tryed to just push onoff on off and it back fired. any help would be great. did any one else have this prob of nonmatching wires. and it says for yamaha650/700.

Your pulse wire (red/white?) is connected wrong. Go over the instructions again and make sure you did everything right.

okay well i got this used off here with no instructions. and on the msd unit there was no red/white wire. instead there was 2 yellows. has all your guys units wires matched

okay well on those instructions it says to not plug in the pink, and white/red wire to the enhancer. does that seem right? below in the diagram it shows it being plugged in. Im not sure what to do. i talki to tech support and they said if u fallow the instructions you shouldnt have a prob. in knowledge.
