I would but I can can never remember. I always have to look it up.
IIRC, looking at the Stator, you would index it CCW to advance the timing.

Here’s my 61x in my fx1, ocd modded 62t cdi, wet jet intake and Jetworks modded 46 carb. Ada head, B pipe and jetmaniac ported tip end kit. FWIW.. I ran the enhancer.. felt crisp all around for awhile. It started to act up. Swapped to the 62t modded and set at 8k. Couldn’t tell the difference between that or the enhancer when taking off or wot.

Thanks for breaking it down with pics! Is it advised to advance the timing when installing the modded cdi?

I cannot say that it is advised to do so. It really is try it at your own risk. There are other variables that play into the mix.. fuel mixture, compression, headpipe settings if you are adjustable.. and all those compounded with the timing changes could certainly end up in having a bad day..

Mine works well. Starts right up and feels snappy for a little fx1. I’m half tempted to jump on the zeeltronics train as I have the parts on hand to make the swap. I would need to order the module from Borut.. but what I have works well.. and I like it for that reason. No fuss no headaches. It’s reliable and just a decent quality oem ignition.
That all being said.. As buzzard stated it is what it is for a small 701. still a great setup and hasn’t failed yet.
