If you want to run the overheat sensor (and your head has mounting for it) then the pink and black wires do get hooked up. If not then yes (dont throw it away but put it somewhere) silicone the original grommet shut and tape the wires up in the box. The white wire from the enhancer and the white/red in the box get hooked up together but you need to use a jump wire or gender changer to connect the 2.

even the stock cdi has a holeshot feature (the pink wire)
I have a question on wiring hopefully somebody can help me out. I am trying to figure out which black wire gets left open to exclude the overheat sensor, there are 2 choices of wires available to plug in, they are ones with ring terminals and bullet connecters pigtailed off of that. On the MSD diagram it shows the black wire coming from the overheat going straight to the ground screw (which it does not)
