MSD Enhancer

Location

Looking at getting a MSD enhancer for my ski, and just looking for some info on the pros/cons. I am running a pretty stock 62t; ada girdled head w/35cc domes and a bpipe. I have heard stories of this systems failing on guys in the middle of the lake, and being a general bad time. So just wondering what everyones experience here is with them. Looking to make some additions to my ski this winter.

l would say they hold up well.Several guys l know have rode with one for 10 years plus with no issues.Just buy a new one when ya do buy. There have been a few failures but overall they are hard to beat.

I did a lot of research when I was going to get one. 50% said they aren’t reliable, 50% said they didn’t make enough difference to justify their price.
Everyone else says save up a little more and get a Zeel.

I’ve had a msd enhancer for a while now, I mostly got it because I wanted to change rev limiter since I was losing power from a dry pipe. Hasn’t let me down and never have an issue with it

So what did you end up doing

to answer a few of the replies, I would be going with a new one, most likely from jet maniac so it would be a legit MSD made one.

What pros/cons does the MSD enhancer offer? as some mentioned here its arguably better to spend the money elsewhere on the ski. SO just curious what the consensus is.

9/15 hooker prop if you don’t already have a prop

I have a similar setup, but a jm718 with 33cc domes. The increased timing down low smoothed out the big rush of power when it would come on the pipe. It makes it more predictable having a linear torque curve. If you look at the timing curves, its more or less halfway to a wax curve on a zeeltronic setup.
