MSD remote mount starter solenoid

I installed one of these things in my last ski but it was years ago. Got a new to me ski and am putting one in it as well. Thing is, the instructions are not what I remember. They show the wire from the start/stop switch going to two spots on the solenoid. I only remember it going to the small post, not also going to a main post. What am I missing in my head?

On my msd TL the brown n red wire from start stop switch are plugged into the bottom of my seadoo relay if that helps?
