Finally digging into my ski after it started acting up this past fall. Is there an easy way to test if a pickup is bad on MSD T/L digital?

Placing a small magnet over the pickup should give you a spark if the pickup is good.

Did you get this resolved? I can tell you how to bench test each pickup while the box is still mounted to the hull if you’d like.

Did you jump pickup wires first to check for spark ? Intermittently jump brown to brown and then yellow to yellow with brain on and lanyard in. It should spark each time you connect circuit at Deutsch pickup connections leading to brain. I recently
had the wires go bad at base of brain leading to ignition coils. MSD tech says u can't ohm pickups but you can as stated above run a magnet across them to test them.

Yeah last time i called MSD tech to ask what kind of pickup the MSD TL pickup is, they said the guy who made it or somethign is not there anymore. So they dont know. WTF lol.
But like stated, test the pickup with a magnet and check for spark or flash of the LED on brain.
You cannot ohm it with multimeter and I had Borut from Zeeltronic to put one on a oscillicope and he didnt get anything from that :S
