Msd tl shutdowns suddenly and back on

Hi guys anyone can help me with my msd tl problem it back fires sometimes and when turning it on in the sea the ski runs good but sometimes shutoff suddenly then crank it back and works fine and my led light doesn’t light on or blinks or anything.

No not in a low rpm

First thing to do is to ensure the Battery is in good condition and fully charged. Or test with a fully charged NEW Battery.

You MUST clean and tighten all Wire Terminals and especially the Grounds. Grounds have to be free of corrosion, salt and be real tight. Clean the Bolts and Screws that hold the Ground Wires, especially the ones for the Ignition Coils. Check for corrosion and salt build-up on the back of the Mounting Plate, around the Nuts.

After doing this, then tell us what the symptoms are.

If any single connection anywhere in your grounding or red wire circuit has corrosion the box cannot get enough power to charge the capacitor fast enough and it won’t run. Likewise the purple wire loop needs to have perfect connections to keep the box powered up. The fuse holder is very common culprit for poor connection, sockets get loose and fuse legs get worn thin from vibration. Squeeze the spade sockets shut tighter and replace the fuse after cleaning and fill with dialectic grease. Or better yet, just replace fuse holder.
The LED is common to not work even on an otherwise normally working ignition.

The epoxy comes loose from Alu housing, water gets in and can short parts inside, particularly a problem with salt water. You will have intermittent problems until brain dies. Lost 2 Brains like this until I figured it out. On a new brain, put waterproof grease / petroleum jelly over whole back side of brain to help seal it
