MSD total loss discontinued ?

Just saw Chris Anyzetski commeting on a post, that MSD TL has been discontinued.
Anyone know anything about this? :S

Discontinuing the kit that is specific to yamaha watercraft, or the brain box? I assumed that brain box was used for many other applications other than watercraft, never really dug into it.

He can’t say for sure- but thinks for good. For its status it just says “obsolete”

Possibly they are used for other applications though (?).

But the pickup in TL is only used for this system as far as I know (jetski and snowmobile).

Some 2 stroke drag racing sleds shared the same brain coils and pickups I believe....but wouldn't surprise me if that's discontinued too with the newer sleds these days
