MSD Total loss issues

Total loss is a single channel 4272. Ok so i have ran it and it runs great when it wants. Then it will either just shut off or lose spark and every once and a while i will see a spark from the plug and then back to nothing I have swapped pickups to rule it out and i have swapped coils to try and rule it out but its all used so not sure what it could be as of right now i have power to it all . then i will shut my switch off and turn it back on and once again nothing. sparactickly. when i left i had nothing for spark and when i get home it started right up. im lost with what i should do so neeed some help. ive tried 2 different switches also

What is your air gap set at? It REALLY sounds like too much air gap, or a stop/start switch taking a crap. As others have stated-MAKE DARN SURE THE GROUNDS ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT!

I keep new OEM stop/start switched in my ski trailer at all times because they seem to fail about every 2 years and only at the worst possible time. LOL
If you need/want more help, PM me and I'll shoot you my cell # and we can start a all out textathon. LOL

You put a piece of clay or wax over the pickups, tighten down the flywheel so it squishes the clay, pull the flywheel off and measure the clay to see what the air gap is between the pickup and flywheel.
