which is the better of the 2 ignitions msd total loss or advent cdi.which one will be better for freestyle

can we add in a vilder CDI also? Thats what i am looking to get.
Two diff applications. Advent is simpler to install and get working, and MSD is a bit more tricky, and more expensive new (and hard to find used).
The real consideration is where you ride, MSD is a lot more susceptible to salt water giving you problems then Advent. That said I think the consensus is that the MSD is a pretty kickarse setup.

Spend the time with the msd!!!!! Set it up, seal it dam tight and throttle response gets quick,quick.... We installed my msd 2days ago and ive put 2 hours on it, its worth the hassle but lasts about 50 starts 4 me....
I looked at the advent coz its cheaper but not the overall best, mine is for flatwater freestyle but we sealed it so hard that I can go play in the surf when I want 2!yay.... The curves of the msd is sweet aswell.
Ps the best long lasting setup I think would be Msd tl flywheel used and the wax inferno system coz the curves can be finely adjusted not a preset like msd!

There are a few used msd pro 2 here! Check the sales... about 250-350 for a complete system.....
I bought 2 used ones and only 1 worked correctly but I now hav a backup coz we sorted the non working ones wires....
Beware any 2nd igitions unless they r REALY working correctly!

I am getting a Vilder in the mail on Monday. I thought I would be using it, but now I think I will be running a TL instead. It is the red box, which I have heard is the new one. It has all the stuff with it; cable, software, manual, etc. I know somebody wants this! You can PM me with offers or post em up here. I just picked up a MSD dual digital total loss system with 3 new extra pickups and 3 extra single tower coils for $500. The guy bought it new and used for a half season of racing and then its been sitting since 03'. Came set up on a alum plate. I cant wait to feel it compared to the enhancer and alum charging flywheel.
