my '08 Superjet, comming in crate.

I have bought a newper-jet and it will be arriving from the factory in the crate. I doubt it will be anything beyond my skill level, but does anyone know what is involved in the assembly of this thing. I mean how much more compact can it get? Does the handlepole spring up off of the hood by itself, or is it to weak of a spring? Another question, on the break in process. I have read to run two tanks of gas through the motor before WOT but with a tank as small as an SJ it would seem like more that two would be wise. What would be your technique for a new ski?

This is not a major concern, just trying to kill time.

Thanks in advance.

Lucky Dog How did you score one in a crate shipped to you?

I have called the tri-state area looking for one and you getting one delivered.

Congratulations!

I will document it well, my first new ski and my first standup though I have ridden quite a few. I couldn't find one anywhere either. I was willing to drive to Dallas to get one but then found this one on eBay. I am super excited about it. I am trying to swing for a FP while im at it but that may have to wait.

You just open the box and activate the battery, these things come assembled. That engine is ready for action after one tankful.

Just one tank of fuel required for break in? Seems like thats rushing it, Im sure there wil be some recomendations comming with the ski. About voiding the warranty... I can fix any proplem I may have with this ski myself. But parts would get costly. I fugure the 701 is as reliable as ever and the only concern I would have would be the hull and pump configuration giving me trouble. Plus the local service center here is not the best IMO and would prob. take all summer to get my ski back. Does fitting a limited FP requre any permanent (obvious) modification to stock systems. I know the jets will need changing and som exhaust hoses to be cut, right? Here is the ski:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-SUPER-JET-WAVERUNNER-JET-SKI-2008-NEW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ31267QQihZ023QQitemZ360036912205QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Thanks for the assistance.
