My $1200 96 SJ build

The Good Old Days
I only have a picture of the holes glassed over.
I did drill a few too many but I had no idea how that foam would spread so I went a little crazy with the hole saw. The holes were the size of the funnels I bought (3/4").
Here's the picture where I circled the holes plus the two in the rear that you can't see I marked with arrows.

That would be ideal I think.
You can tip your ski up or down or side to side to spread the foam out thus you don't need as many holes.
The 2 in the back I filled last with the ski almost vertical and the foam spread all over quite nicely.

6 holes should be more than enough.

Thanks again for all the advice Boris I really appreciate it...
I haven't made much progress I'm waiting for my foam and glass to come from uscomposites and I just ordered some 3/8 Stainless tubing to add another coolant line and replace the 2 stock aluminum lines since I'll be using the ski in salt water.

Well I finally got a little break from the school work so I installed the new stainless lines and some drain plugs. I am going to be using these two pieces of plastic (actually slides off a snowmobile) in the channels so if water gets in it can go down there and be drained out.

I just used a big arse screw driver...I've seen some people use a wire brush on the end of a drill with a shop vac hose nearby to suck up all the dust.

Well almost 3 years later I'm finally back on this project...my life was on hold due to stupid dental schoo.l I had zerio time / energry to work on this. Anyway I started rebuilding the carbs tonight. The hull is almost ready for paint I just have to wait for the weather here to warm up. More pics of hull to follow.
