My 1995 square build...

How much green glue is left on that shell ?

The reason I'm asking is that I just weighed my hood (no hardware, air intakes modified, hand holds, liner mostly done and installed) and it weighed in at 11.5 LBS.
Just to compare my complete stock hood with everything still on it (including the empty yellow container) is 18.5 LBS.

I think my modified hood needs to go back on a diet.

probably alot. i never took the chisel to it yet. i have to get my dremel involved.

got the other side of the engine compartment done and both sides in the rear. next step is the scupper tube trim tube, and the cooling lines in the tray. that might get done during the week.

Hey Demo! Looking nice. I am just starting with my 95 SN. Hood is 50% complete and hull is in the process of defoaming. How did you get the exhaust tube out? I am thinking about lowering mine a bit and the foam is almost impossible to get out around that thing.

ground out all the green crap from inside the hood with the grinder. made some handholds (that will probably just be used for taking the hood off)

i mounted the handle pole on to see if i shorten it some which i think i will and reinforce the bottom of the pole.

im glad to see im putting things back on the ski somewhat then just taking stuff off the ski.

hopefully if the weather is nice tomorrow i can get some more done.

been getting alot done but canon has my camera for some work.

cleaned up the hood won't be perfect but it will work fine. just have to glass the front holes and finish up sealing the hand holds and paint.

finished installing the holds pretty much whole tray is foamed as well, just need to lay 2 layers of glass around the seams and lay a layer and a half n the bottom of the tray to seal up the hole.

got the inside painted and the bottom painted. inside was painted with epoxy paint, not perfect but looks better than the stained bottom it had before. also painted the bottom of the ski with spray on bed liner for pickups. should work well.

started putting in some stuff in the hull last night. got the front exhaust figured out which took a long time of trial and error. tried using straight piece of pipe for the water box 2 tee connection and wouldn't work so i had to use a piece of hose that i cut for my pipe with a slight bend.
