SX/SXi/SXi Pro My 750sx wont run fast anymore!!!

Okay, this is how it went down. I rode it for a couple days straight putting in good gas (premium) and amsoil mix of oil. Anyway, I was over at my friends how and my ski wouldn't ride very fast anymore. I assumed it was low on gas...so I rode it around a little more and then I stopped. I was supposed to go on a camping trip today and I can't get it to rev up anymore.

I put new spark plugs in twice...and no luck. I tried new gas and no luck. I took off the fuel line and it seems it is fairly dry. Like no fuel in the engine.

Anyway do you have any suggestions?

Thanks:smashfreakB:

Check your carb, mine did the same thing last week, the screen in the carb was completely coverd in stuff. I'm rebuilding it now and it should be good to go. Mine would sit there and idle but would die when you gave it throttle, and it wouldn't run on reserve.

I'm beginning to think its the carb too!

I took it apart and cleaned it and it seems to run a little better. It will kinda top out but still has very little low end compared to last week. Maybe I just need to adjust it since I started using pre-mix?

Yeah mine was acting funny all day, it was bogging, then no top end, then I thought I was out of fuel. There is a screen in a ball shape in the keihin carb, if that is what you have, that gets like coverd in junk.

Yeah, I noticed the screen. It just looks like there is gas between the screen lines. I didn't notice any particles or anything like that. It looked good.

Isn't there a better carb to put on these skis? Or is stock the best?

It seems to be running way better. I'm guessing there was water in the gas due to a cracked gas cap and the gas was crappy.

I did unhook the temp sensor though.

depends on how far it slipped.

and the 750sx, sxi came w/ keihins the mikuni's showed up on the sxi pro and sxr

Just had the same with a friends ski. Down for 2 months until he replaced his leaky gaskets and crank seals then he found the woodruff key sheared. My new starting point when a 750 runs less than optimal.

I'm still experiencing the same problem. Sounds like it back fires when its cold. And take about a minute of continuous cranking to get it started.
