Shimming motor was no sweat :) just some bed plate/motor mount machining to get her perfect.

Zero shims. How many Freaks have zero pump or motor shims? And those who know Phil really understand this accomplishment, sometimes I think he uses an electron microscope when working on alignment.

I was really focused on a clean build, and I don't think Philip would have it any other way. glad it shows.

No primer, no bilge pump, just business.

Someone asked about the hull drains. I used a 5/32" Stainless rivnut threaded insert. I put some black 5200 around it when I inserted it. A stainless button head screw with O-ring.

Yeah, I'm stoked about the performance from this 'big' -4.3. Height and distance are more than what I was hoping for.

Also considering Philip probably spent about 10 minutes riding the ski that's set-up for me, there's more distance in it with more time on it.

I'm guessing some warmer water and a ski the customer has now paid for will add a few feet as well

Philip is finishing up a couple custom carbon ride plates (short and long) partly to offer different set-up options for ride conditions, but also party because the stock plate just didn't fit very well.

I'm working on finishing up some fine details, graphics, etc.

Tribute to my favorite band. Every ski I've owned had a band logo on it somewhere. Function of the times, my likes, and the ski personality. VH for my 550's in the 80's, Metallica, Flogging Molly, blink... Etc. This one gets Volbeat

Thanks to Jeremy for some sweet Reg numbers

So here's my overdue ride report.

Holy crap, brutal, I'm incredibly out of shape, I hit a boat wake then I think I speared a goose in the atmosphere, it ripped itself from my arms several times and I could actually sit in the water looking up at it waiting for it to come back down.

Wow, wow, wow. Such a fun hull at part throttle and then having the power to launch into orbit is amazing. Scary, but awesome.

Now I need Philip's help building my endurance and strength to really ride it.

Though I didn't get a lot of time on my ski last season (new baby, new house, et al ) I did find myself craving a front foot hold.

Thinking adding a FFH would be my only winter upgrade to a near perfect P&P built ski. Any suggestions where to get one that will fit fairly well?

Likely need to trim center section to clear my low ratchet strap latch. Want visual carbon ideally. Anyone make a corner FFH that goes from gunwale to center of tray?

Measure the tray and let me know what the width is. I have a carbon FFF.
