my blaster gets new colors

first i have to tell you how this all came about. this summer i was fishin around on ebay and saw this 94 vxr pro up for bidding. it was missing the pump and the guy did'nt know if it ran, however he said the motor does turn over by hand. came with a trailer. i was the winning bidder at 255.00! i drove up to deltona and met the guy and got the ski. got home and hooked up my jumper battery to it and the dam thing turns over!!:woot: to my surprise it had 175psi in each cylinder. at this point i don't know what i was going to build but it was going to be a yamaha. a buddy of mine has his own pwc repair shop, and was looking for a vxr hull for various parts and a single trailer. trade them both to him for a 94 b-1 with a pump in it already. popped the motor and electronics in it and i got a running ski!!! well here it is in all its glory, stripped down to be painted right now. can't wait to get rid of that FUGLY lavander stock color. btw since i got the ski together i have put a new impeller housing, umi bars, finger throttle, scoop grate, and getting ready to put a pro-tec pipe on it. so i'm thinking white bottom(stock) silver top with black accents. or all white and apply graphix to it later. so what do you think? white or silver? its gonna get painted by next weekend.

I like white, silver & black. Silver looks really good in pearl but its very hard to shoot right. Black is nice but shows up every little nick/scratch. I vote for white.

After much debating, I decided to paint (gelcoat actually) my SJ all white because of durability and doesn't show up scratches as easily. If you don't mind a lot of wet sanding and buffing, why not give gelcoat a try. This way if you scratch it, its solid white and very easy to fill.

the blaster got the colors!! new pics!

well here it is!! :woot: :Banane01: finally got rid of that horrible color and got some real colors on it. decided to go with blue and silver after debating for a while. however i'm totaly digging the blue and silver setup! i still need to reasssemble it and all new turf, but check out the pics and let me know what you think! i'm really trying to have it ready for daytona, been working on it alot. 12hrs into it yesterday alone! btw i used 4 base coats of "house of kolor" paint with 4 coats of clear over it.. seat get recovered this week too.
