Octane My crank degradation...

...because it didn't fail! My Polaris engine still ran until the day I tore it apart. It probably had at least 40-50 hours on it after I found out the front bearing cage had fallen apart! I was going to run it till it blew or my new engine was ready, and luckily the 950cc got done before this crank let go...

Sell it on eBay as a "came from a running ski" crank! Amazing that thing was still running! Piston pics?

One had detonation, but both were remarkably clean on the skirts. I have no idea how many hours this motor had, probably at least 300! It was never opened before.

I'm surprised the bearings didn't fall out with that much wiggle but it would still be a good crank core for someone.

The front bearing fell apart when I took the cases apart because there was no more cage on the balls. And this is a good core for me so I can rebuild a "stock" engine to put back in this hull when I get an aftermarket hull...
