After you get used to the effort of cooking, which has become quite enjoyable actually. Staying on a pretty reasonable diet is actually quite easy. It's the constantly being sore from working out that gets me!

Gotta be strong to pull partial backflips over and over when your learning. That's some good motivation to keep it up.

No No No don't go to all that trouble. Just get some of those crazy fun house mirrors that make you look skinny . I need to about 10 my self. It's hard to loose in the winter ........ we need our winter coat to stay warm. Good luck with your effort.

Congrats, it sounds like you are doing great. There were some really good points being made in this thread. The best one was "screw the scale". If you are doing any real resistance training, eating enough protein, and getting enough rest, you might as well throw your scale in the trash, since you will be gaining good weight. Go by how your clothes fit. Looser in the waist, and tighter in the chest, shoulders and sleeves???...Awesome.

Personally I get better results as far as losing fat by resistance training as opposed to cardio. It may be just because I hate cardio, so my intensity level just isn't there when I do it. But I love weight lifting, so I always give it my best effort.

Sounds like you really cleaned up your diet. It is amazing what small changes can do. I have a friend here at work. He's about 54 years old and got a pretty big gut on him. The ONLY changed he has made so far was to give up soda. He lost 9 lbs in two weeks. 9 lbs.....Soda should be outlawed. People that let their kids drink that garbage need a serious dope slap. Oops...another rant.

Anyhow, congrats!!

My pants are consistantly falling off when I walk, and it is a great feeling! I can't afford more clothes when there are still parts to buy for the ski! :)

Thanks for all of the encouragement everyone, I just got a shot of good news, I heard through the grapevine that my skis should get started next weekend, so I have even more incentive to hit the weights tonight.

***** update *****

I am now the same weight I graduated high school at again for the first time since high school, according to my scale I am now 175.0 lbs, I can see my abs better and better each week. I can bust out 40 push ups in a row and 8 chinups in a row. ( I know that doesn't sound like much, but I got my right arm shot off in a hunting accident and only have 70% mobility in it, it's pretty much a 1 1/2 arm pull up. I can't wait for my freak to get here in 2 weeks. Since this thread started I have lost 22 lbs of fat arse.
