x2 for being at that level at your first comp....
Forgive me, but how hold are you? You look like a youngsta!

I know its becoming the norm and its necessary, but it sucks how uncomfortable comp skis look to ride. I imagine this will be more of a reality when I get my AM hull, but man thats a short pole.

I'm 18 years old and started doing flips a month or two ago =)

And yea I'm still not 100% comfortable with the short pole, but at the same time standard length poles are really uncomfortable for me now

Nice riding man. That's bad a$$ that your killin it so young. Keep it up.

Your choice of apparel on the other hand is not something to desire. IMO loose the knee high socks. Unless, they give you some kind of MAJOR competitive edge (that FAR outweighs how ridiculous they make you look) and I can't imagine how they would do that. They look retarded not to mention the grandpa tan lines you'll get from them.

Edit: And in the case that they aren't socks what are they?

The long JetTribe socks are made to keep sand from getting into your shoes as well. I know that I personally have to remove, rinse & tie my shoes a dozen times a day just from all the rocks & sand that get in.

On a different note, super stoked to be seeing my younger brother on the water with us. With the new Hurricane Hulls pushing us as hard as it has, 2013 should be a great year of progression for us!

Who cares what he's wearing, this isn't a fashion show and he doesn't look ridiculous or retarted imo. If he feels comfortable and it helps his riding keep it up. Obviously he's doing something right. I agree with you, he is kiiling it for so young.

I thought they looked cool =( jk, they're my winter riding socks that go under my wetsuit for extra warmth, and I didn't have any normal socks at the competition, I figured since it was a jet tribe event, might as well represent!

Yeah, totally understandable if they serve a purpose. For me they wouldn't be worth it to keep the sand out of my shoes alone. It gets irritating at the end of the day when your walking with a shoe full of sand and its equally as irritating to empty it out. Staying warm is another issue. Especially in competition. And again props on the riding! I wish I was that good.
