dude, I did this job in like 30 mins.....Im sure if you took a bit more time it'd look 10 times better....adn I have yet to have an insert fail!

Did you make the inserts? What strap?

made the inserts...

SS 3/8" acorn nuts (i think) with 1" SS washers......tack welded them together

weld the round part of the nut to the washer.......grind off slag so it sits flat..


the strap is one I got at a kiteboarding shop for 6 bucks........I'd just order some dakines and be done with it...dude, you will NOT regret this mod....

and like I said, just take a little more than 30 mins and it'll look pimp.....

i just put one in my ski all i can say is awsome wish i had of done it ages ago i just pulled the turf back glassed the plate down re did the under padding for that little bit then glued the turf back down took like three hours including every thing do a search for footstrap i did a step by step photo in the freestyle section

Hey crab you should shorten your handlepole. It will help keep the nose down in the air when hitting waves in the surf. It's gonna keep you from always landing on your back like I saw in the picture and the jump in the video.:biggthumpup:
