My fixed steer FX1

Well Daytona is around the corner and I was just going to throw my Blaster together and ride that, 2 weeks ago I got a bug up my butt to build my bone stock FX1 hull into a fixed steer, 144 pump, wide tray frankenstein, Took a couple weeks off work since jet ski is more important than money lmao and here she is, she is up and running, just waiting on ride plate and finger throttle, just have to install my hood straps and water lines and she should be ready for some water testing.

It's getting a flip or roll attempt Daytona one way or another haha, just going to build some footholds like the rrp ninja ones but out of aluminum then wrapping in turf, bought the aluminum this morning, now to get to some cutting and welding lol

I freaking love how it looks. It reminds me of an X2 with a shaved down hood. I never really liked the Fixed Steer SJ hoods....they look way too bulky to me.

Ya I thought about building a hood up but it's just really not my style so I mounted steering as high as possible (it's X2 UMI) then measured against some other fixed steer skis, and eye balled some pics and tried to pic bars that my steering height would be the same as one with a tall hood. Ski it pretty much done now, got my ride plate in from carter today which was the last piece, hopefully going to do some testing over the weekend, I'm sure there will be some trial and error with the build but it's not far off.

Well made my own footholds today, cost me $11 lol, I don't want them ajustable, I want them fixed so basically just have to turf and mount em

mk1 the hood doesn't remove anymore, I built a hinge for the front for it to hinge up, bought a strut so eventually it's going to have a hood shock supporting it later just have been saving that for last, ski is together and running, was just waiting on my ride plate I got today to test her out, so hopefully have her in the water over the next couple days, anyways here is some hood pictures, first is a picture of the inside of the hood before resupporting the hood and painting everything so you can kinda see what's going on
