SXR my free sxr

so i was given a sxr that has bad water damage to the motor
its been sitting since 11 well thats the last registration
motor is locked up , carbs locked up , pump is locked up ....see why it was free
ok
i have a big pin 750 out of a xi im gonna drop in till i can wrestle up $ for 800 rebuild
what kind of perf looss is the 750 < 800
i belive the crank and case are the same . please correct me if not
it will be 100% stock 750 w stock sxr pipe
ive bought some sxr carbs to bolt up to the 750 as i like mikuni over kiehins

Okay, ALL of your power loss comes from the cylinder porting. It will have NO bottom end. If it is big pin cases, you can get an SXR cylinder and run it. I have 750 cases on my SXR.

If you get the 800 jugs, you will need a head too.

i have the 800 block it just had water sitting in it
so long its orange inside
it was complete when i got it but everything but the pole /hull /elect/and controls are bad
motor , carbs ,pump all bad

i havet broke the block down yet but yea all thats good i hope the cylinder is boreable
was hoping to throw the 750 in and go for a bit
i got the stock pump from whn i upgradded my 1100sxr to a mag so im good there
i have a built 800 block but i dont wanna unbuild it to build a stocker

My buddy put a small pin 750sx motor in his sxr a couple years back when he was rebuilding his motor. It was slightly slower but he was still able to rip bouys. I rode it and it was not night and day different from a stock 800. If your building this as a rec boat put in what your got and try it

Wildwood picked up an SXR with a 750 in it, good for running bouys. Its all about maintaining speed around the course, you wont win the holeshot though.

I just picked up a SXR for my wife. It's a limited with FPP wet pipe. It comes on the power much much sooner than my X2 with a 750 BP and FPP (although I'm a bit over proped) and Ryans X2 with 750sp with coffman 650 pipe. The SXR seems to come on later than my Superjet, but the midrange is much more powerful.

this will never be my main ski ... im in the 9 ski area
i have a 1100 sxr as well
and no one with in 50 miles from me runs bouys anymore
this will be a ski for me to teach newbies how to ride

I would just drop an 1100 in it and be done. Dont waste time with a 750, 1100 motors are easy to get a hold of.

got the old one apart , crank in route
found a good 1st over piston from my other sxr just need to find 1 more , bore and assmble
