FX-1 My FX-1

well i sold my 88 kawi 650sx for 1,500 bux last week and bought this 94 fx-1 for 1,400!! what a trade up. here's what was done to the fx. pro-tec intake grate, fiberglass ride plate (unkown make) front and rear foot holds, flush kit. i installed a bilge and pole limit strap and took it to oceanside last weekend. super fun ski to ride, real light and flickable. but a completely different beast to ride. here are some pics. this ski was originally from ventura county.

thats One of my old skis, when I sold it it had all the good stuff , b-pipe, billet pole base, billet pole mount, half girdle head and had a cross brace in the engine compartment

that was my back up ski so it didnt have a lot of hours on it as I almost always rode the ones with the 144 pumps

should treat you will

Bahahahahah! I :):):):)ing new I recognized that ski! I saw the turf and was like man that reminds me of carls ski.... If I would have seen the FFH I would have been sure. Fastsedan it's zack from oside last weekend. Thanks for the tow and great breakfast. Small world.

damn, too bad it doesnt have all the "good stuff" still on it! i think im going to keep it stock for now. i'm just going to add a pump cone and another bilge for now. i will do the pump conversion later.

danger boy, what ride plate is on it??

whats up zack, your welcome for the tow anytime! lol. will you be out there again this sunday?? i think we are going.

wanted to bring this thread back to life. after riding the ish out it last year, i decided to rip it all a part and re-inforce the whole ski. i was getting a few stress lines near the pole bracket and towards the front top of the tray. i dont want to break this ski in half! I've managed to pick up a few goodies for it: sj mod b pipe, lowered pole bracket, ac pole, 35cc pro one head. pics to come.

this is how i re-inforced the nose! i didnt have anything tall enough to set the ski on, so i nagger rigged it. i used marine-tex to fill misc. holes, this stuff is awesome. all i have to do is sand and either paint or wrap it. Tom21 tubbies should arrive any day now!

finished up some sanding this morning, all holes filled with marine tex. i had to move the pole bracket forward 1/2 inch and re-drilled the hole for the cables. came out great. i dropped my chamber and handle pole off to get powdercoated. when i was stripping the pole i found out it is a -1 pole. im stoked.

it looks like it doesnt it. this one is lowered and the section recessed is so the pole clears. i double checked on blowsions site. dont scare me like that! i dont know how old this bracket is, but it looks like they moved the pivot point forward? not sure. the new ones are not moved forward.

Lol! i didn't even know you had a build thread Fool! The pics look a lot better on the computer then your texts. I guess i'm gonna have to start a build thread now.

it looks backward, better to catch it now than later if it was. all that matters is that it works. the hole for the cables on the stock bracket is more under the pivot point so that the cables run straight up into the handlepole without binding, but looking at yours, it's not no matter which way it went.

I think that bracket is right. the little strip of rubber is there to stop the pole from moving any farther. also look where the hole for the pole spring goes. you can buy just the part that catches the front hood hook from blowsion if you don't have it.

i will give it a whirl. i have an AC pole so the stress shouldn't be and issue. how did it fit with the hood? what were your issues?
