My hooker came in the mail today!

Installed my hooker prop today...alot easier than those fing 550 impellers!!! Also put on a works top loader intake grate. May be its just me but they kind of looks like the stock prop but shinier.

Anyways I took it out for a test ride but I don't think I'm to impressed with the setup. It felt like like I lost some top end and I knew I would with the top loader grate but it seem to have about the same low end as my stock prop maybe even a little less. It works great for cruzing but I thought that I would get a little more pop on the low end. Maybe it's cause everything else is stock. Wish I had the $$$$'s for a b pipe and lighter flywheel!

Everyone say a skat swirl is the $&*t maybe I'll try that When I get some more cash together.

Here is your cheapest bang for the buck now that u have the prop-

Bore your stock exit nozzle to 55mm $50.00
Add a Wet Wolfe pump cone $50.00

and you will be grinning ear to ear.

i was going to bore my nozzle wasn't sure how far i needed to go...do you run this setup? is your engine stock?

I do run that exact pump set up other than I also have Virgin trim. As far as motor goes-well-it's almost stock,

Lamey 5mil stroker, 85mm flat tops, on and on, carbon B pipe, on and on.
LOL

For the record, he means 85mm.:stups: Maybe start somewhere around 84mm and work up if needed.

is was thinking 55 was a little small:thinkerg:
I also read some where on here that if you put a 110 jet in the water line going to the exhaust it will dry out the waterbox and give you more power.

Does this really work?

yeah, i was also thinking about getting a wet wolf cone...!

What kind of ski you got 2002 SJ?
2008 superjet

Its kind of irritating...I spend a small fortune for some parts and didn't really appear to gain anything. Hopefully the wwc will change my attitude.

From what ive gathered on this site running a bored nozzle AND a WW cone didnt provide the best of results, everyone was saying one or the other.

LOL, BTW where do I find some one local that will bore my pump nozzle?

Or would you be better off buying a different nozzle from like XFT or whatever?

If by better off you mean spending 10x as much, then the XFT nozzle is for you. It is nice though.

does any one have pics of the stock 2008 Sj impeller?

is it possible that it and the hooker share the same design or manufacturer?

didnt the hooker come on the market about the same time as the 2008 superjet?

on the WW cone and bored nozzle.

Ive ran them both, and ive ran just one, its one more small piece in being able to tune and control how much your specific pump/impeller combo is loading your engine.

I swapped from my old tried and true 12/15 concord to a cutback 13/16 this weekend.
its got more top, but its lost some bottom, I dont have enough engine to spin it as fast as I could the 12/15

I think If I went back to my bored nozzle, it will help..

That's because the stock prop on the 08s are great, from what I can tell. Everyone that recommends a new prop is coming off an older model, where the stock prop straight up suxxxxx.
