My Micro Build

1. Adapter plates came with hull..they are stamped aluminum/pump plates as yami pump is longer than kawi and I do believe Eric Malone made them. Plate extentions for pump and a adapter extention conversion for mid shaft to convert from kawi to yami.
2. Engine took time/patience and a crow bar for me..dont use a aftermarket aluminum flywheel cover with limited slip tank..purchased complete 781 bb from JM with all bling and shouldnt have opted for flywheel cover as it added a inch or so..space is very tight..if your running a b pipe..tank, expansion chamber, waterbox all has to go in before engine..mount manifold before engine goes in then mount head pipe...expansion chamber is already bolted to waterbox.
3. Hand pole is xmetal. Eric ordered and had it cut down and welded for me..RRP works and you can cut tubes down yourself but dont know how long tubes are..my xmetal pole is a extendable and i have it set from pivot to bars at 28". Bolts are pinch bolts not through bolt (through bolt cant be used...bolts slide into pole/bushings from inside of handpole holes and screw into bracket and then double nutted from inside of ski hull on each side.
If you are planning on running a yami pump and trim you will need to convert the trim 2 right hand side of pump also you will need the kawi washer and metal c clipwasher to hold the steering cable instead of yami plastic c clip.
If You have any further questions hit me up, the build was a little complicated but I think I got it down pretty much. the ski i built, i believe, is very solid at least I hope..lol

Alright, I now have a couple more questions, Does the xmetal pole/steering have everything on it to work with either kawi or yamaha steering? I have a Kawasaki pump, driveshaft, trim, and steering but plan to use an xmetal pole and OVP steering from blowsion, I still am not sure which steering cable I actually need to get... Also did you get the comp length pole from Xmetal and it still needed to be shorter? Someone said you can just request it in a shorter length but I have not spoken with Xscream about it yet. I am missing the bolts and nuts to my handlepole mount, that is why I asked which way everything went on yours, as I will have to find suitable hardware somewhere.

answers to questions;
1. quick steering plate attaches to xmetal pole (i used a blowsion) and yes it works with both yami or kawi.
2. I am not sure how kawi pump will work with yami motor, I thought that you couldnt mix and match but not sure.
3. If your using kawi pump then you will need to probably get a kawi steering cable, I ordered a yami one which worked fine with kawi washer and c-clip from amazon
WSM Steering Cable 002-041
Sold by: SoCal Powersports
4. Eric Malone ordered my pole for me and had his welder cut it down (look at pic attached of weld mark under blowsion decal) I do not believe xmetal can cut these down to correct length...(think I called them)
5. Eric can probably get you what you need and his prices are pretty comparable..his phone number is 814-207-9709, if you call him, tell him mention my name Buck
