Other My new favorite machine!

Just started playing with this full machine and it is amazing! If you want to have the quality of automotive / marine paints but ZERO clean up this is what you need!!!!!!

You can put just about any paint in this charge can. I just filled some with white base coat and metallic pearl top coat. Sprays awesome with zero cleanup! We can’t say it’s possible “due to potential explosion hazard if used wrong” but next I’m going to mix some gelcoat and try shooting it.

I don't get it, so you put 2K automotive paint on a rattle can?
Why dont just use a spray gun with lower pressure and flow?
I can't see any scenario were a rattle can, could spray as good or better than a spray gun with constant air pressure?

Fill-One Aerosol filling station. Not cheap!

We use specific company colors on new equipment so we buy cases of these cans filled at the local paint shop and the quality is hit and miss. We bought several cases on the last job and less than half were usable. Not sure if the paint was too thick, the tips were all clogged or the pressure had been released during filling. The process looks easy enough but I imagine there's some specific steps to follow to guarantee success and we must have got the "new" guy.

What brand charge cans did you buy? They may have been old. I work for Seymour paint and me make paint and charge cans. The cans are pre loaded with solvent and propellant so the machine just pushes the paint into them.

It’s more for smaller jobs. I needed to shoot the door jambs and dash with two part pearl white since the rest of the truck is getting wrapped.

I wouldn’t use rattle cans todo a complete paint job. But they do spray well.

We use Sherwin Williams so it's whatever system they use in their stores.

My dad uses this system to keep his 52 International looking fresh. It's a pretty basic paint so finish quality wasn't as critical as a show vehicle. Color match was very good and it sure beats busting out a spray gun.
He shot the entire tailgate and a couple spots of surface rust.

1951 Ford F1. My wife wanted a rat rod but then started liking the old trucks. Interior will be all original, outside is bare metal with gloss clear and House of Color red Ice pearl, 302 and AOD trans.
