Super Jet My Patch Motors 96 RN refoam and BOB holds

So a little history on the ski first. I bought this back in 09 for $100. Came with crusty factory pipe, crusty and rusty motor, MSD, prop, intake grate and ride plate. Fast forward 2011, I finally gathered all the parts needed to reassemble the ski. I dropped it off at Patch Motor's since this was my first reassembly job and I wanted it to be done right.

Having put a full season on it during 2012, it was finally time for foothold. Be a big guy I went with the BOB holds, hopefully with these I can get comfortable. I also plan to reinforce it.

Fast forward to the present, here is how it sits in the garage.

What a shame u had to pull out fairly new turf job..
so did you have to rebuild that original motor...

No Paul....that thing went to the scrap bin. Stator, Flywheel, and bendix was the only parts saved. And they were mint!!! Oh I did save the cylinder after I used a big hammer to get the pistons out.

I believe the cases were used as wheel chocks.

Been chipping away at this build little by little. Bond line, hood lip, and nose are just about foamed thanks to help from tokarzl. Once those are finished ive got a bunch of sanding to do. Then I should be ready for glass.
