Freestyle My PowerHouse Performance 4mil 898cc engine

onlyFX-1

Jace Forest...BRAP!
So I just wanted to do a little write up on my new PowerHouse Performance engine because they are new and the word needs to get put out there.

First let me start by saying before this engine setup I was running a Team Scream ss865 with ATP flame total loss, XS modded mikuni 46s and XS modded b-pipe.
The engine/setup I'm running now is Zack's PowerHouse Performance 4mil 898cc engine on 50/50 race/pump gas to practice on( later im dropping in the race domes with full race gas, 48 novi's, Powerfactor pipe, MSD total loss and 144 skat setback mag pump.

After talking with a few people about Zack's (owner/builder) new engine i decided to give him a call and see what he was about. First off he knows his stuff, there wasnt a single question I had that he didnt have a answer for. On top of that one time he called me on a sunday while he was on vacation to talk with me about the engine, that right there had me wanting to do business with him. He always answered my calls and text and would even call me at times to see how things were going with the build.

On to the engine, he had it done before the date it was supposed to be done...AWESOMENESS!!! When I recieved it, it was crated in a wooden crate so nothing could get damaged...AWESOMENESS!!!

He walked me threw setting up the total loss, getting my carbs setup, ect...he was a great help and I know i had to bug him cause I was calling and texting him non-stop.

On to performance, this engine exceeded my expectations. completely blew me away the first time I hit the throttle, it hits hard at the bottom, mid and top end rips like a rapped ape, I was shocked! I have rode a handful of different stroker/big bore engines and this one is different than all the rest. It hits harder than a 10mil 885cc on full race gas that I have rode in the past.

Im still getting use to the powerband of this setup because i was use to a ss865 with a b-pipe so I have to change my ride style to get the full potential out of this setup, but I will get it down in a few days. Also note it's still not tuned 100%. I'm posting some pics and a quick vid of my first real ride on the new setup. Just keep in mind i'm still getting use to it aaaaaaand I have not rode in 2 months

Thanks for posting that up Jace! Looks like it workin awesome! After you called Zack and said he was the :):):):):)in man and your phone cut out, he looked at me and said "I didn't get the number of the call but someone just was all excited sayin I was the :):):):):)in man and then I lost em???"

After you called back and you guys talked the mood in the shop was cloud 9! It was so great to hear a great rider from across the country tell us how excited and impressed you were with Zacks motor! I hope more people begin to realize what Zack is capable of. I'm just lucky enough to live 20 min away and have great friends and great shop that Zack has created to build these monsters where he has shown me and tought me all about this sport.

I can't say enough about the type of person Zack is....if you have any issues and call him he will walk you through anything ....hes that good! Trust me I've broken just about everything that can break on a ski and he has taken so much time to help me learn how to fix it and fix it for me! If it wasnt for him and Trevor( the other genius in our 3 man band) I would have quit this sport long ago!

Powerhouse is here to stay, and you always get top notch service. Just ask Jace! Anyways, lets see and here some more good stuff from Jace:)

I also have a powerhouse motor 4 mill 916, TL powerfactor, dual 48's running straight 113. Motor hits hard, but if you just wanna cruise around the lake, it is nice and tame. Power is very predictable and controlable. Zach has always helped me when ever i had questions. I just need to learn how to ride :)

is this a 5 or 7 port cylinder?

looking at the base, it looks very similar to the dasa

It would be nice to see the transfer area (if it's not a big secret!)

very cool to see another player in the game

Its a 5 port with a few tricks up it's sleeve;) It was designed to have as wide of powerband as possible, but really shred mid to top. I don't condone doing this but we drag raced and sxr 1200 that gps'd at 63.2mph with Chad mans superfreak and walked it. that was when it had a 144mm solas mag with a 14/19 swirl in it. It had loads of bottom with that setup, but lets you know how hard the upper power can pull. The beautiful part is it's no secret they run off the shelf cr500 pistons with the skirts modified. I designed the sleeve to be safe all the way up to 91mm (937cc's). The cylinders are all made of 7075 billet vs. standard 6065 as strength and cracking is always a concern on high output cylinders. I also use oem Honda wristpins to keep the needle bearings adequate size to not overspeed and burn up. Every surface on the entire setup has been o-ringed...you can throw away old smashed pv gaskets and your threebond;) All fasteners are included with the engine and are all stainless.

Did it have enough bottom end to flip with that setup?

That cylinder looks identical to the DASA other than exhaust power valve housing mount.............hmmmmmm

Is this Dan's cylinder?

I can assure you Gil, there is nothing this engine has in common with a DASA...I promise you that! I agree the bolt spacing on the head looks similar, but that was only because I had to get rid of the factory head bolts that would be positioned right over the pv. They cause a conflict with the passage the valve slides on otherwise. The unfortunate result of that bolt spacing is the similarity in at a quick glance. Everything on this cylinder kit has been designed from scratch...I have countless numbers of solid works models and unfortunately the bills that accompany that led up to the final product. The domes, the head shell, cylinder, sleeves, pv's, and hardware are all unique to this kit. I Imagine the bellows would be the only universal part as they are on all of these pv cylinders.

Looking really good!
Is this your own cylinder and design? Looks very similar to the DASA. Do you have a web site, were one can see your products and prices?

did you try your x scream motor with the pfp, ? or a back to back test with the exact same parts?
