l had a 95 Prostar 205 a few years ago.That boat was awesome!

lt’s funny, cause people think $10,000-$11,000 for an older Nautique is too much money. But they will pay 150k and up for a new one! l have a large fat sack that l lay behind the engine and it will produce a wake almost equal to a newer boat.

Small progress yesterday because of wanting quality time with the lake.Met Hornedogg and company yesterday on their pontoon.Got to hang out, ride and drink some adult beverages.Even got to ride my old 550! She still runs great, but the tray feels like the inside of a Smart Car!

What l did get done, was bolting the 3 corner upholstered upper cushions. One on the front port side and the two rear corners cushions.I also took apart the throttle, shifter stick and ready to take it for chrome today. Also took the steering assembly loose in order to buff the underside of the dash. The decals that are on either side are rough looking, but there is a guy that reproduces them off of CorrectCraftFan forum.Gonna be fun taking off 31 year old decals..chit!

The plastic seat bottoms that the seat cushions are on top of are filthy from sitting around outside for several years,so they get scrubbed and pressure washed,as well as the engine cover will get a pressure wash to get the rest of the dried up foam removed. It also has a crack on the glass that l have to fix.The cover is the last piece that needs to be upholstered. Before and after pics to come.

Slow progress,but progress

Yes,that was some of the most difficult upholstery work l have ever done.
I had a good offer on the boat and ended up selling it.The last couple summers as well as this one left no time to work on it.lt really didn’t bother me to see it go cause it went to a good home

Didn’t tell a lot of friends. Not a moment any of us would be proud of,ya know.Sometimes better to just move on..

Awwww man! Hate to hear it had to go but sometimes thats what it takes. When I sold my skis to build my house, I kept swearing that I would get another one. Hasnt happened yet, but the boat is a good filler for now.
