my sub and fountain vid

today was a blast at folsom lake (if you know of it) there was like 20 people max, it was nice and calm, perfect for messing around. I was there monday and the wakes were crazy, coming from all directions random sizes, but i was impressed how much my balance has improved after riding in rough waters. I was out there with Eric i forgot his name on here, but he has a white freestyle SJ, you can see it in the vid at the end there. he helped me out with the fountain, i couldnt get the nose to go under no matter how long i sat on the nose while idling, i actually got a little lucky in the video and pulled it off for a second.

It is amazing how easy it is to sub an SJ. First time I tried it, I stuffed it in the bottom on the lake. :banghead: (thankfully it was a soft/mud bottom)

Next day I took it out to 'the deep spot'...man if you get the angle just right(or maybe just wrong, I guess) and stay on throttle, you almost need a scuba tank.:Banane01:

Great subs :) Pretty soon the fountian will be boring and you can start teaching me some tricks. Nice riding with you, Um I mean not riding with you cuz I was working

lol eric, i saw you try a few subs, but seems like you can do other fancy stuff but the sub thing wasnt working for you?

Even though I wasn't there :) I've hit bottom too many times and broken hulls so I now prefer a nose stab. I have to get over the fact that this lake is not shallow and Im working the slow approach.
Whens the next ride?

haha, next ride probably mid of next week, ill have to see whats up with my work and ill go from there.

yea tomorrow would be awesome too, i wish i could go, ill probably take the head with pistons in tomorrow to get bored, hopefully its a few hours job and i can get it back same day? or maybe saturday. The one thing i would really need help with is probably jetting my carbs correctly with the Bpipe and 35cc head, i know on a dirtbike you replace the needles to different sizes, there is a high speed and low speed needle or something, if i dont get an answer here ill just read up at the factory pipe site and see what they recommend, but i wonder if higher compression also requires different jetting?

Higher compression doesn't necessarily mean you have to change your jetting.

For starters, the factory pipe settings for the 96+up superjets are 70 on the low, and 135 on the highs. Needle and seat are stock as well as the spring.
Start both high and low speed adjusters at one turn out and tune from there.

cylinder is at the shop, he said ill get it back wednesday if not sooner, handpole was supposed to be here friday, it didnt come, maybe monday. Pole spring was supposed to be shipped along with the intake grate like couple weeks ago from legdrag.com but the itnake grate is not even in stock, so i think spring is on the way. UMI bars and grips should have been here last week, didnt come yet, 2 skat traks should have been here but they were backordered and its taking longer than it should from jazzmotosports.com

You would think they would update their site and say whats not available, instead they take orders and dont tell you anything unless you hasstle them and then they tell you they didnt have it, so what the heck! i get way better service on ebay!!!!
