my sxi 800

Finally got the turf done and everything dialed in on the water. I love the x-2 nozzle/up trim it really wakes the ski up! You can definatly tell a difference in the weight running no foam. It makes the ski handle totally different. The nose is in the water more due to less weight in the rear so it turns like crazy, better than any sxi I have ever rode wet or dry foam. You can just rail a turn now without assing out. Almost as good as a sxr and way better than a superjet. Still getting used to riding it the larger pump nozzle makes it brap quick! You would have to see it to belive it! Hopefully I will have the graphics done on it this week

Thats pretty cool. So you have no foam in the back end. Just took it all out and then glassed the tray back in huh.... neat. So thats why you have 2 drains in there as well im assuming.

looks good! glad to see you got the trim working, did you end up getting the brake cable i have? im kinda curious about how it rides wit out foam. and i agree on the bigger pump, it does seem to help out quite a bit

Finally got the new graphics on yesterday, thanks to Scotts Sign Shop in Hayden, Id

Figured I would take some pictures of my motor also. Painted the motor compartment, bedplate, and motormounts. Also installed a flow control valve and the duel 1100 gph bildges. The bildge hose for the 1100's is 1 1/8" way too big for the standard bildge outlet so I just used bow eyes for the outlets which worked great.

Hoodstraps & handle pole cable

Spent my Saturday build some hood straps and a handlepole cable. The turned out excellent in my opinion, just how I imagined. I did not like any out there for sale and desided to design something specific to my ski. It was not that hard, I just used motorcycle style pull straps and cut the ends off for my hood. Then attached them in the front using lengthened front hood latch bolt, useing all thread. I then used rubber compression bushings to fill in the gap on the larger holes in the pole mount for support. I found some mounts at a boat shop for the tray side and bolted them through the tray and used fender washers on each side for support. For the pole cable I used 3/16 clear coated cable looped at each end with cable ferrels and covered with heat shrink. I put them through the paces today with no issues. I have to say I will never ride another ski with out either, the peace of mind it gives you not worrying about overextending the pole or hood poping off makes you ride so much harder. I actually pulled a 3/4+ flatwater flip for the first time, hopefully I will work it into a plate to plate soon, landing like that hurts!
