I would not do the full bore to 849. Leave yourself some room. Knock on wood, I never had to rebuild my SXR but have done so many many many times on my SJ.......

To late as it went down with him for the Mark Hahn race to be machined.

I'm planning on having my wife's ski as my back up and for riding when we're camping. Save my blue sxr for mostly races.

Going build here's exactly the same just a few different options and not the 849. Also be running a polar composites pole on it

All I know is one of the guys I race against has the 849 and always gets me at some point in the race.
He could be carrying more corner speed, not letting off the throttle as much, taking better lines, etc. It's not likely the 849 doing it for him unless your ski is somehow a complete turd in comparison.

There's a certain level of nobility in winning with a smaller displacement motor.

As soon as the card goes sideways and orange band snaps, zip tie your throttle down and don't let go!

I wouldn't doubt my ski was a complete turd. Lol

In a straight line my buddies sxr that was bone stock started pulling on me and he weighs 50 pounds more then me.

No doubt he guy on the 849 is a better rider. I started riding skis last year and he's been doing it for a few.

But like everything I own I tend to go overboard so that's one of the reasons for the 849. Lol

I should probably start on these soon...

On a side note. Prowatercraft and jettrim order should be heading my way in a few weeks for the lites and limited skis.

I'm trying to get everything for an open ski. I have plans on a one-off ski. I doubt I'll have it ready for the races but I'm going to try! Aiming to have a water test by September if it all works out
