So, with all the help I get from friends, etc, I decided to build a second 1100 b1 as a play/surf ski! Chris from 701 Industries contacted me a while back and asked if I would be interested in being part of their test team. I was so excited, as I usually ride under sponsorship of me! The guys at 701 are really pushing the envelope in the Blaster world and I am very proud to be a part of the team. They sent me some of their new motor mounts, a surf steering and a hood hinge kit. Everything they make is awesome!!
Next, the guys at ESI hooked me up with a oversized steering cable adaptor. That, along with the B2 steering cable, should make the bent cable issues I have had in the past, a thing of the past.
I went with one of Tubby's rear exhaust kits. AS ALWAYS, Joe hooked me up with a gutted 760 rear waterbox.
I am waiting on my midshaft, elec box mount and bedplate from the Rad Dudes. Once I get that, I should be ready to drop in the motor.
Speaking of the motor, have to say thanks to Mike @ Optima Racing. He has not only been a great sponsor for me for years, but is just a great guy. And, he wants the best for the sport! The motor is going to have a girdled head, 175lbs compression, Jam Racing modded pipe, timing advance and reworked stock carbs. As for the pump, going with stock pump for now, with hooker prop, worx intake and pro tec plate. I'm not into backflips, so other than some reinforcing on the rear, the hull is staying stock for now.
Anyway, thanks to all the people who continue to support and help me. I really appreciate it.
