So all you suckers with wives who won't ride, or hates it when you ride, I feel sorry for y'all!
Wife busted her ear drum this weekend on a barrel roll attempt.. Sucks, she'll be unable to ride her superjet for a couple of weeks, but that gives me a couple of weeks to nut up and work on my rolls!

Apparently she had a minor tear when she was younger, and it tore again, I think in the same place. It's minor, so hopefully it'll heal quickly!

Good Job on the attempt. Sorry for the eardrum ouch..:toothache:

Odd Duck, You are just all purpose cool chick too!

I just know how many times I slammed down on my side before I got the hang of that stab (I never claimed to be the most athletically gifted individual ). I was lucky I never ruptured an ear drum. My hearing is bad enough without that.

And I do come in handy to have around. I had my first aid kit out 3 times the weekend before last.

That is awesome! I don't quite have the balls for a nose stab yet but I'm getting there. Your wife does rock! Hope the ear gets well quickly.

Still Fat....
that had to hurt like a mofo....
hopefully she recovers fully

and i know what you mean about riding with the other half......
she loves it...
as she says... water makes her horny lol

it's alot of fun
the best is when you see they fat guys on a sit down staring at her like WOW a girl on a stand up....
never understood the stereotype that a standup is hard to ride....

so how do you blow an ear drum on a roll attempt? do you have to side flop on the first quarter of the roll? i dont see how landing upside down or 3/4 the way around would do it.

your wife sounds awesome! haha

Any impact from the side at all can get you if you hit just right, and 3/4 of the way around is a side flop on the other side, and you'll have some force behind it if you got that far.

but on a 3/4 roll, all of the impact would be on the ski, your body/head is pretty much being pulled away from the water. but what ever, ill take your word for it :bigok: 90% of the time i say i should of listened to people on here instead of learning the hard way. i guess im gonna start wearing a helmet
