My wife wouldn't let me buy an AM hull

So I'm gonna spend all of my time, probably just as much money, to build a superjet that's half as good. If I'm lucky.
So I've owned this wonderful piece of machinery for about 15 years, 3 people including myself have learned how to do rolls on it so the right side is smashed I've lawn darted it twice, once ripping the handle pole bracket out of the hull.

Hopefully I can stay at this I think a build thread will help, I've never done one of these before but @Nate_D has inspired me

Top deck is off... Here we go...

"Worx shin dominator" couldn't be more correct, I split open my upper shin really bad on one once.

Idk your plans, but I would recommend widening the hull towards the front or adding tubbies, what ever displacement you cut off you need to add it back else where, so the ski handles properly.

My plan is to use the modified smc bottom with an infused carbon fibre top deck, since my deck is so beat up,
I'm planing on making some tubbies for the front but keeping the hull stock width otherwise. With all the weight gone from the saturated foam and rediculous build up of epoxy from random repairs the need for displacement should be less,

If the ski works okay I'll build a carbon bottom next year, if not, I'll get an A/M hull when I get the propriety paid off I just bought,
(My wife isn't that bad, just the timing is bad)

Nice, so you plan on making a top deck mold and infusing it yourself? Are you going to shorten the nose? I personally like atleast -8 or more lol.

I'm at 82" right now and I like the looks of it, it's 2" longer than my 300sx but yeah that's the plan, my buddy makes infused kite boards and hydrofoils he said he will help me with building it (ex jet skier)
I've made plugs and molds for swim platforms at work so that's not new territory But they've all been hand laid

image.jpeg Started to get a front shape would have been much easier if the front wasn't all smashed, I'll get it ground down tomorrow and hopefully get the rest of the bottom hull all glassed up and onto the top deck...

Take it from a pro. You need a slush fund account your wife don't know about that your PayPal is linked to and have two hobbies. Mine are guns and jetskis. If she notices a new ski or part than you can say you sold a rifle or handgun to fund it. You have to get creative. I've been with my wife for 20+ years so now when she notices a new ski she don't even ask anymore.

I bought a snowmobile without telling her once, she didn't even get to see it before I broke my neck on it, she was a little upset.

The title is more of an attention grabber, the truth is I just don't have $8000 to put out there for a rickter.

I honestly didn't realize a bob was so reasonably priced, anyway I like building stuff and I'm laid off,
