Haven't forgot about this project, just been busy... Got the water box done today. Took a Xmetal box & cut the T off, took 1.5 in off, rewelded the T 90 deg from stock. Now it lays perfect in the hull T fits perfect at the bulkhead. Just going to glass two inserts in for a strap & its getting the tray glassed back. Motors in so its getting closer

Hope for a water test in 2-3 wks

Well I'm back working on this project.... I have no surf ski right now & this ones the closedt to being ready... Hope to have it fired up by Thursday, just waiting for a JSS Coil, Throttle lever.. Going to finish all the water & fuel lines tomorrow, have to make a bracket for the Mod pipe to Head. There so much room without the waterbox in the front... Rebuilt the Ebox today, pumps installed....

Hey bro, if I were you, I would put in a GP760 waterbox. It fits un the spot without modification and we have been using it for years in everything from spec blasters to full on 8mils. Not to say the one you have currently won't work, just saying what we have found over the years.

Either way, the ski is very nice looking. I expected nothing different, your builds are always nice.

Thanks Guys... I was going to use a 760 box but I already had this XM box.. All I did was cut the T & turn it 90 deg... Will see how it works...

Waveblaster I'll check your head mount out. I have the lord mount.. The FW cover plate looks great & bolts right up, the top head bracket was something some one made that I couldn't put on a ski...

Can't wait to get this ski going, I think this package should rip!!!!

Matt I thought about dropping the XS1000 in for the weekend, lol

Here is a tracing of the stock brackets if it helps. From factory pipe the one you are dealing with mounts to the unused bolt hole above the ex mani on the side of the cylinder. Going after a headbolt instead might not be a bad idea as the way they do it makes it hard to get a wrench in there to snug everything up.
