I'm at a loss right now for answers. My Kawi 750 motor will barely rev above idle. I took it out yesterday & noticed it at the ramp. Rode it a bit, sometimes it'd come to life & rip, but then a few seconds later, it would go back down to about idle. I can't get it to rev up in my driveway either.
So far, I've checked/cleared all fuel lines, fuel filter, and cooling lines. Although I plan to rebuild the carb, a Keihin 40, I took the carb apart and blew everything clear inside that too. I cleaned out the gas tank & checked for water inside as well. I checked compression & it's about 130 in each cylinder, installed new spark plugs, both of which are getting good spark, and even disconnected the battery for about 10 minutes hoping something would reset.
After all that, I'm still dazed and confused. It ran great until now. I did blow an exhaust coupler saturday, broke a ground, burned up a bilge pump & found that the motor was running pretty hot. All those issues have been fixed now though. This hasn't been my week.
