Surfriding National Marine Sanctuary Jacksonville to Fort Pierce

I know that this has happened in the Florida Keys as well as some places on the west coast.
It seems we are always defending...
A local community association here in St. Augustine (SACA) has made it a priority to have the coastline of north Florida designated as a National Marine Sanctuary.
It didn't take much googling to find out that this could affect us.

The "evil" that they are trying to avoid (so they say) is offshore drilling for oil. Northeast Florida is NOT some windfall of the precious fluid. The gulf side folks need to worry about that much more than us.

A battle was won by fisherman and recreational users of our waterways a few years ago when the same organization (SACA) tried to have our intracoastal waterway designated as a "Florida Outstanding Waterway". This would have taken away the rights of fisherman and any powered craft to enter creeks for any purpose.

SACA is an enviro-Nazi group parading themselves as a community organization. I actually joined and paid dues when I moved here. After attending a few meetings I realized that the agenda they pursue has little to do with the community, and more to do with removing the burden of our freedoms in the name of endangered bacteria.

This would affect multiple ride spots:
Alamacani (Huguenot Park)
Porpoise Point (St. Augustine inlet)
The Secret Spot (Matanzas Inlet)
DAYTONA BEACH
Sebastian Inlet
Fort Pierce

Leaving no ride spots from The St. Johns River to Fort Pierce.

Am I wrong or is it a bunch of elderly rich white people in this group? And they just dislike anything they can't do?

The young men (but old enough to see through the BS) in this country need to step up and get involved! Just like Scott in NC and Cali dude who spotted meth being sold outside his house and called the cops and they were like, "yea so what do you want us to do about it!?" (I forget who and can't find it now)
