Super Jet Need a measurement from a 96-07 pole!

What's the measurement from the steering cable holder to the middle of the hole where the steering shaft goes through?
Basically, how much of a difference is it compared to an 08+ pole and a 96-07 pole?
Because my squarenose pole and this pole are more or less like 1/4 inch of a difference in terms of the steering cable holder.

96-07 is 38.5" from pivot hole to steering plate hole..

08+ and newer is 36.5" hole to hole..

The steering cable clip ( horse shoe ) to the steering plate on the 96-07 is a longer distance than the 08 or fx1 style pole, you will need a new rn or fx1 cable to make it work. There's also a bracket kit a member here makes for the late model steering that allows for more throw on the poles . Good luck

I know the pivot is 2 inches different, I'm pretty sure this is just a shortened pole, but I'm looking from the distance from the horshoe cable holder to the center of the steering stem shaft. Is it a huge difference on the 08+ poles? Cuz this one is like. 25 inch difference than my square pole.

I dont think theres any changes in the area of the steering stem and cable holder up top on the different year poles, Im pretty sure all thats the same just overall length is different. The actual bend or kink of the pole may be different from rn and sn im not sure, havent looked at both in profile view

You've got a 96-07 pole then. The 08+ is about 1.5" shorter from cable holder to the ball on the turn plate.
