My macbook pro crashed again (it overheats and melts its own circuit board) baked it in the oven and saved it, but I know I need something more substantial.
Every used tower I see is so professional, modified, and full of power that I'm not sure I need. (I know-its like the lamborghini of computers so i'll find a LOT like that).
If someone can steer me in the direction of a nice used mac pro, or what to look for that would rock! I really wanna just chat with a mac snob in person and pick their brain (I can make banana bread and trade that for your time).
I used to to video editing, but my macbook coouldn't handle it after a while, now I don't edit so much. Mostly just browsing on internet, downloading music, watching movies. etc.
I don't want an imac, I have no room for it. I have my own HD tv, and I was using it to connect to my macbook, so I wondered if I could use it as a screen for Mac Pro, and get a wireless keyboard and scroll pad too for it.
The 'spaceship' macbooks on ebay are almost $2000 and I might as well get one brand new for that price. Would I be ok with maybe a 2010 mid level macpro? I'm looking maybe in the range of $800-$1200.
Anyone?
