Freestyle need help in deciding

im more confuse now then ever im looking for a new ski and the more i read the more confuse i get i'm an older and heavy tall guy i've been out of the water for 16+ years but im the type to ride hard and aggressive when im back in the groove some of the forms i've been going they are pushing the sxr800 for easy ride and being more durable witch in short term i could agree but at the same time form like this one most of the top guys and race shops support the superjet over the sxr and if go with the SJ should i get a used one say 06 pull it apart upgrade and rebuild it ? or i may have a chance to get a 2012 SJ from my old ATV dearer but also from reading here The SJ need a lot of reinforcements and mods so if i get a newer one i'll need to spend some big $$ down the road then there still the option of getting a sx new old ? i just want to make the right decision spending 8k+ for a toy

any input would be very appreciated

SXR or Bullet Racing SXR with SXR drivetrain. Bullet is 90lbs. lighter, stronger, finish is better, handles better, and a breeze to put together. No issues at all like alot of the A/M hulls you will read about.

Are you going to be riding in the surf??? If not, then you don't really need to reinforce it. Superjet = freestyle "flips/rolls" and Sxr = Racing "carving". Go with what you think you'll do most of. As for power, you can put a 1200cc in both ;)
Like i said in your previous thread "Superjet > Sxr IMO" :)

it will be lake water so no BIG waves but boat wave for sure never had the power to do a flip or a roll but it on my to do list

do you have a link for that bullet hull?

thnks

Well, your posting this in a superjet sections and on a forum where most prefer SJ's over the Kawi model skis. BUT, there also is a reason for that.

The SJ will give you more flexibility in what you want to do where your ski can be set up to do freestyle or racing. Because the way the SXR is set up, your limited to just one for the most part due to weight.

I wouldn't be concerned about having to reenforce a superjet unless you plan on getting WAY crazy doing some pretty intense stuff. Even then, if somehow you were on that level, reenforcing wouldn't be that big of a deal.

For lake riding, you should have no problems with a stock hull and really should have no need to reenforce a stock one.

Nah, get a 300sx! Those things will flip all day - just head over to PWCtoday (if they ever get the site back up).
