Need Help - Kawasaki Sxr 800 2007
Hi all this is my first post. Just bought a bone stock sxr 800 2007 with very little hours and was in very good shape. My problem is when riding hard cornering after awhile it like shuts down a cylinder or misfires till it cools off then runs fine again. It seems to be pumping water out the pisser just fine.
there is no smoke in the engine compartment and all the seals look ok. I'm thinking its the over heat sensor.
any way, Anybody have any ideas? Thanks for any help

There are two pissers on a stock SXR. One is on the side of the ski and the other dumps to the pump area. It is possible that the one to the dump area is now flowing. I would pull your water lines and blow out with air to see if you have any restrictions. When it does shut down, put your hand on the head or pipe to see if it seems hotter than normal. If all is clear and does not seem overly hot, disconnect the overtemp and see if it happens again.

Thanks,
the pisser on the side is just fine, water running out and after a massive ride they are hot but not to hot!

I would try to pull of the othere pisser, and make you know.
