was having ishues with it dying so saturday mourning i changed plugs and drained gas. filled her up went too ocean ran it for about an hour and a half ran great brought it home rinsed it. next day i take it too lake run for about 45 min no problems go back too beach take it out and within 10 min suddenly just dies no warning cant fire it up in water. got it running when i got home.
what is the cause i have a 1993 superjet 650. with 701 guts and A factory exaust
thanks

I would check the filter screen in the carb. I had a couch that would run great then suddenly die and then after it set the contaminant would settle out of the screens and it would run again then clog up and die.

i would check the ignition first before getting in the carbs, if your getting spark then try poring a little gas down the carbs. if it fires off then you know it is a fuel delivery issue.

salt water brings out electrical problems that are no problem in freshwater.

your going to get 10,000 different opinions from all kinds of people on this site who have had all different experiences. I've been working on superjet for a while and if I had to put money on your problem id say it is your start stop switch. when it dies next time find where your start stop switch wires come through the handlepole and enter the engine bay. Follow them until you come to a white connector. Unplug the connector and try to start it. If it runs your start/stop switch is toast. BEWARE...the ski will not shutoff until you plug that back in.

i agree on the start stop switch mine had the same problem two things cause this problem the wires keep backing out of the connector just push them back in and put some glue or something on the back but it sounds more like the first problem i had if u look under your chin pad theres a pipe in your handle pole the the start stop switch wires go throught mine rub raw and when you would turn or lift the handle pole all the way up the would ground out and it would shut off so thats a quick easy check that takes about 5 mins so i would start there and if u turn it on and unplug the connector like the other guy said would work but how ever your problem is intermintent and will only work if the problem is happening. to fix mine i just spliced the wire back together and rode out the season then baught a new start stop switch wireing kit. good luck let me know if u fined it if u cant i mite have some other ideas
