need help tuning my factory pipe ?

Just finished installing a ton of aftermarket parts, including a factory pipe, Jr.Magoo freestyle ported cyl,a.d.a head with 33cc domes, v-force reeds and new jets in the carbs.. How should I have the 3 screws adjusted on the pipe? Bottom and middle completely shut, and the top one open a crack? thanks for the help..... oh, and I still can't find my high/low adjustment screws on my 38mm mikuni's, where the hell are they? sorry for the dumb questions

I am currently running the bottom screw cracked, the middle screw open 1-1/2, and the top screw closed.

I used to run the bottom cracked, middle closed, and top open 3/4".

What year motor are the carbs off? The newer ones have the adjustment screws capped.

Anyways, pipe: bottom and mid closed, top open 1/4 turn - that seems to be the popular consensus.
Keep tuning the top until the headpipe sizzles.

Hows is that working out for ya? I know you know, but the FP site says opening the top provides bets low end. I also run mine with the mid & bottom closed and the top one opened about a turn.

Well, with my engine set-up, this seems to work well.
The biggest thing is that it keeps water from dribbling into my exhaust ports at idle.

I may fiddle with them this weekend.

the ski is a 04' sj... so I'm assuming the screws are capped because i can't see them. how do i get the caps off? thanks for all the pipe info, i think i'll go bottom/middle closed, and top opened a crack.

I drilled/tapped the plugs (they are not caps) and used a dent puller.
