Need help with my 97 640cc Tigershark Montego, was running fine today and towards the end of the day went to ride is started fine, took off and heard a loud screetching noise, immediately stopped it and when i got home and hooked up the flush kit oil & water was coming out of the rear exhaust.
the machine sounds fine, starts right up, runs good, has power but white smoking badly and oil water coming out of the exhaust pipe with the flush kit hooked up.
this was the 5th or 6th time I have taken it out this season, machine is stored in heated garage in Southern California in winter, always flush and coat everything with wd40 after each use and stored inside daily
also: I bought the machine used a few years back and have never had any problems, I recently noticed that the top end has SBT and lower end says Suzuki, but it all looks stock and top-bottom end color match and all bolts look untouched, is this an aftermarket SBT top end or did tigershark use SBT top ends on their machines.
any help would be appreciated, thanks everyone!
pic of the plugs, front cyl looks a little oily. machine fired right up this morning with oil still coming out of the rear exhaust, 120 psi in each cylindar, boat starts right up and runs perfect however still thick black oil coming out of the exhaust. I found the screatching problem the PTU coupler/bearing coming off the motor to the drive shaft was bad and needs to be replaced, this appears to be a seperate issue from the black oil coming out of the exhaust.
sell it and buy a yamaha :Funny stuff, already have a Yamaha and too many Skis to tow, dont need another. the Tigershark is for friends and family, I would rather have friends trashing a $400 ski.
