Well back it at after returning from Havasu, spoke with an engine builder about my sealing issue and found that it is do to a groove yamaha put in the upper case half to try and help lube seals . The oil hole comes down just in front of the inside face of the inner seal and then the groove passes under the inner seal and ends at the inner face of the outer seal wihch in turn allows internal pressure to bypass the inner seal which defeats the purpose of the seal.. The outer seal is a single lipped seal and can't take the excessive pressure..
If this is the case ,then someone must have came across the same issue, has anyone ever pressure tested one of these to a full 10 psi..
It seems I have seen a lot of these with blown up rear pistons,could this be why;;
hope this helps anyone else who comes across this in the future
Could be do to the champfer on the hotrod crank being a bit larger as dicussed earlier in this thread that it amplifies this problem
