Need help

I've got an 04 SuperJet that I just added a B pipe, ADA 35cc girdled head and a 12/17 Swirl Skat. The guy at the Yamaha dealer is telling me that I have to change out the cdi with this combo. Is this true? Help.

You don't "have" to, but a rev limiter change would help, or an MSD enhancer.

Am I better off with an MSD Enhancer or like a Pro-ted cdi?

Probably 3/4 or more of the folks around here roll with an MSD Enhancer

Yea MSD is fine and turn the adjustable rev limiter all the way out IMO. And just be aware of it.

You would absolutely hate bouncing off of a rev limiter IMO.

And that is a nice set up and you are gonna friggin LOVE it! Rip it!

The last time I rode this ski it was bone stock except for the flame arrestors, grate and ride plate!

Whats the big difference in the aftermarket cdi's versus just modding the stock one to bypass the rev limiter?? Just wondering here, as i know some people have modded stock ones and others i know run MSD......just curious.
